The IQ Panel 5 is the keypad on the wall and the brain of the system. PowerG sensors talk to it over a long-range encrypted radio.

Most legacy systems can stay. That includes all hardwired panels, plus Honeywell, GE, DSC, and 2GIG wireless. We keep compatible sensors, install an Alarm.com ADC-SEM300 cellular communicator, move monitoring to Alarm.com, and include professional installation on a 36- or 60-month agreement. The communicator is $199. You are not buying a new panel unless the old one cannot support dual-path reporting.

Slim PowerG magnetic contact for exterior doors and most interior doors you care about. The magnet mounts on the moving leaf; the transmitter stays on the jamb. Two-way PowerG encryption, so a copied fob cannot spoof it. We pair it to the IQ Panel 5 before we leave.

The window sensor we specify. Dual-reed contact knows if the sash opened. Built-in shock sensor hears a smash that never reached the latch — a common failure on cheap contacts that only watch the magnet.

Wall-mount pet-immune PowerG motion. Hallways and great rooms are the usual locations. It is built to ignore pets up to about 85 lb so you are not chasing false alarms. One per hallway is the guided-builder default.

Listens for the frequency of breaking glass across a room. Useful on a wall of sliders where a contact on every pane is ugly or impractical. Mounts on an adjoining wall, not on the glass.

PowerG smoke and heat detector. If it trips, PHX Alarm treats it as a fire signal — police, fire, and ambulance dispatch are all on the monitoring stack. Hallways first, then sleeping areas.
